Please support my fundraising efforts for the Melanoma Research Foundation!
The cure for melanoma begins with me.
As I sit in the office of my dermatologist for the first of 3 PDT treatments to ride my skin of precancer cells I can't think of how necessary it is for all of us who live in Colorado to take care of our skin. Melanoma is the deadliest and fastest growing form of skin cancer. It doesn't matter where we live we are all effected either by someone we know or ourselves. My dear friend lost her father one year ago and has been fighting for a cure since he was diagnosed. Thanks to her I have become very aware of the importance of taking care of my skin. I know the genes run in my family as my father and brother also have taken steps toward early detection.
Miles for Melanoma is the way people come together to take action and help support this fight and the mission of the Melanoma Research Foundation. I have been participating in this run for many years with my friend Sibby. I'm moved by the passion of all those effected and how they come together to help find breakthroughs in researching this deadly cancer.
I am trying to personally raise $1000 that will direclty go to my friends Sibby's Team Marks in memory of her father.
There is more to be done and a long way to go, but the finish line is in sight. The energy, enthusiasm and encouragement from patients, survivors, families, friends, caregivers, and the medical community impacts many lives and many future.
Please come join us on November 2nd at Sloans Lake or help by making a small donation.
Thank you so much for your support!
