Operation Prom Dress

I was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic melanoma in July 2016.

At that time, I was given less than 1 year to live. I immediately thought of my Daughter and all of the things that I would miss and what she would have to go through without having a her Mother. Having been raised without a Mother myself, I immediately thought of Lentil and how much I didn't want her to miss out on those Mother/Daughter experiences. Jimmy and I immediately started "Operation Prom Dress", which consisted of us doing anything and everything we could in an effort to be here with Lentil for as long as possibe....and hopefully long enough to go eventually go prom dress shopping with her.

The City of Hope has given us so much and has given me more time than expected with Lentil. And quality time at that. The Melanoma Foundation has partenered with the City of Hope and together they are working toward new treatments and a cure. Please join me in the Miles for Melanoma walk, which helps raise funds for melanoma research.

Thank you again for all your help and support.

Below is a message from the MRF regarding their walk and foundation.
