Melanoma took my Dad suddenly at age 58. We, his family and friends, miss him so very much...and it's heartbreaking his grandkids never got to know him. Please understand, melanoma is not "just skin cancer." Doctors never found the original site of the melanoma; sometimes it can be hidden, like on your scalp, eyes, gastrointestinal tract. This year, I have a dear friend fighting for her life with mucosal melanoma. Because melanoma is still mysterious like this, it's why more research needs to be done.
