TEAMS

Miles for Melanoma teams are the foundation of the event series. In 2017, more than 700 teams joined forces to walk, run and raise money to support melanoma research, education and advocacy. They are also our best fundraisers - 80% of 2017 fundraisers were members of a team!

Join a team or - even better - start your own

There's no doubt about it, joining or forming a team is the best way to make the largest impact. Think about it: as a fundraiser, you'll be asking your friends, family, and co-workers to support the Melanoma Research Foundation with their donations. By inviting your friends, family and co-workers to take one more step and JOIN your team, you'll tap into an even larger network and more fundraising and awareness opportunities. Team T-shirts

Participating as a team is more fun! You'll show up on the day of the event as a group, you'll participate as a group and you'll have already been fundraising as a group. The pride and camaraderie you'll feel will make more of an impact on you and everyone else. Consider going to Custom Ink to create your unique team shirt to add more fun!

Corporate Teams

We encourage local businesses and healthcare providers to join Miles for Melanoma as corporate teams! Corporate teams support the event at the $500 level and receive a variety of benefits for their support, including free registrations, on-site table space at the event, and opportunities for corporate volunteerism. More information on corporate teams can be found in our local sponsorship packet.

Top Teams

Teams that raise $5,000 or more AND have 10 or more members, will earn a team tent to use as a meeting spot! Team members and funds raised must be at least 2 weeks prior to event day. So, build your team starting today. It's a great demonstration of power in numbers.

The team captains of the top three fundraising teams will receive special recognition at the event, so be sure to stick around after the run/walk to retrieve your prize! The top three team captains will be announced during the awards ceremony.
