VOLUNTEER TODAY!

Make a difference in your local community and register to volunteer for the 2024 New England Miles for Melanoma 5K event. Our events would not be possible without our dedicated and passionate community volunteers.

  • General event day operations, including set-up and break-down.
  • Event day check-in, registration and t-shirt distribution.
  • Refresh and refuel tables, ensuring our participants stay energized and hydrated.
  • Course Monitors, ensuring no one gets lost on the course and providing encouragement at the finish line.
  • Water stop, handing out water on the course to keep participants hydrated and motivated.

VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT:

Please review the following Miles for Melanoma volunteer event expectations.

  • Arrive on time and stay for the full duration of the event unless previously communicated to the MRF team.
  • Communicate and let the MRF staff know if you are no longer able to attend. Failure to communicate this in advance will prohibit you from volunteering in the future.
  • Attend the pre-event volunteer zoom training. If you are unable to attend, it is expected that you will review the PowerPoint slides before the event.

BENEFITS FOR VOLUNTEERING:

  • Receive service hours or volunteer credits.
  • All volunteers will receive a complimentary UPF50+ race shirt.
  • If you are interested in running the 5K race, volunteers can do so for free.
  • Volunteer swag bag to take home and rock your own Miles for Melanoma swag.
